Leaving the MTC
Phew, it's been quite the last few days. I said a lot of goodbyes to new friends. But it was so comforting to have both of us know in each one that it's not a goodbye it's a till next time. Even if that next time is on the other side it will happen. I've had a lot of emotions that I'm not really sure how ti process, right now I'm on the front runner on our way to the Salt Lake Airport. I'm listening to the youth album and watching the mountains go by, it's wack it seems like a movie. I didn't finish packing last night until 1am. Shout out to my District Leader Elder Dahl definitely made the packing go way faster and better.
I had a couple experiences that were really cool this week. We watched a devotional from Elder Holland talking to the missionaries about what we are doing. He said this is as close as you get for most people to real life. That we shouldn't view this as a break from the real world. This is the experience that makes your world real. You shouldn't go out and come home and have the same habits or behavior. You become on a mission, you learn who you are and what you can be when you choose to follow Christ. I went on to say that we are all apostles with a little A, because aside from president authority and keys we are the same. We are apostles without the big A. But from 6:30-10:30 you are trying trying help others come unto Christ and have joy. Which is something mist don't get to experience. It is so Amazing Amazing not have to worry about money or the news. I have ti day it's been a little hard not to have hour long discussions of politics. I'm getting there but I've had a few in the residence halls haha.
On Sundays at the MTC now they do what's called a "Go and Do" experience. (That is so weird I just passes the Solo office, my old job which prepared me for a mission) the "Go and Do" Experience is where all day the whole MTC has a theme you could say and then Church, elders quorum, a 2 hour personal study and the devotional are all on the topic. It's a really cool experience to get to have so much depth. This week's was understanding God and his love for us. It was amazing, I really deepened my testimony of God the father and his purpose, when I realized that Heavenly Father would have done everything Christ did and that I got to see beyond the veil in the priesthood blessing and see God's love for people. It's my favorite part of the priesthood. At the end of the devotional all 1,200 of us sang I am a child of God and it was one of the most powerful spiritual experiences of my life to gear that many people openly confessing their true identity.
I also had the opportunity to give a few amazing blessings that God wanted to give to a few people. They are all on this list so they know who they are but you are all so Amazing. There is NOTHING you can can do to make God change how much he loves you because it is already infinite. I live you all and I hope you are all coming closer to Christ In your own way.
